Very calm place, great restaurant and nice staff. Helped us with booking tours around the island and volcano. There are a lot more/bigger plants and trees than in the pictures here, which made the whole area even better. You are surrounded by the sounds of nature and can really kick back and relax by the pool or in the restaurant.

Our room had a balcony and a view of the ocean. We watched the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean each of our three night stay. I was pleasantly surprised the room was equipped with 110v and 220v electricity outlets. The breakfast in the morning was a great selection of fresh cut fruits, homemade breads, cold cereal, eggs made-to-order, sliced cheeses, and fresh local breakfast drinks. The restaurant was open every hour we needed it to be. It was overall, I very pleasant hotel experience.

The staff did their best to make us feel comfortable and went above and beyond. The breakfast is very, very good, to the point that on our second day I asked them not to give us so much food! The swimming pool was great for a dip at the end of a hot day.

The location is good, it's a 15-minute walk from the town of S.Filipe and a 10-minute walk from the airport. The hotel is in a very quiet area.
