Offering rooms with a lake view and modern furnishings, this property is 22 km from Kiruna and 35 minutes’ drive from Nikkaluokta. It features a cosy, bookable restaurant cabin with a personal chef. WiFi and parking are free. The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Featuring a restaurant, the property also has free bikes, as well as a fitness centre and a sauna. The property is non-smoking and is set 3.7 km from Kiruna Bus Station. The hotel is truly amazing!! The room was exceptionally clean and warm! The facilities of the hotel are also perfect and the lobby area is so cozy and comfortable to just spend some hours during the cold winter days. I was also very surprised with the variety of breakfast options, you can find literally everything in the buffet. Lastly the location is perfect as there is a bus stop just right outside of the main entrance, so it is really easy to get to the hotel from the airport and to Icehotel as well.

The area around the property is popular for outdoor winter activities such as dog sledding, reindeer sled excursions, and snowmobile tours. The staff will also be happy to arrange activities such as river rafting, hiking, and fishing. During summer season, guests will experience midnight sun. In the winter, guests can enjoy northern lights if lucky. We went on Ice Fishing Tour with Snowmobile and it was the trip of our lives. Our guide, Anton, was amazing! Anton was super knowledgeable, caring and responsible in ensuring all of our safety, comfort and fun.

Guests staying in the rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities. The apartments have a private full kitchen and private bathroom facilities. It was awesome guesthouse and clean.

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. It offers free WiFi, in-room flat-screen TVs and traditional, seasonal Swedish and Sami food. Parking is free on site.

The Aurora Spa can be accessed for a surcharge. Ski tracks and hiking trails are right next door. Snowmobiling, ice fishing and dog sledding are popular in winter. Summer leisure options include It was everything great, not too far from the city center, good breakfast, cosy cabins, the spa was very good and the staff very friendly!

Aurora River Camp Glass igloos & cabins, a property with a terrace, is situated in Kiruna, 19 km from Kiruna Train Station, 17 km from Kiruna Bus Station, as well as 20 km from LKAB Visitor Centre. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The place is lovely, the igloo was super cute, you have everything you need, very cosy! The staff super friendly and very helpful! It’s a good location as well!

A barbecue can be found at Reindeer Lodge, along with a garden. The staff at the property were awesome really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and willing to help out and give tips on stuff to do. The breakfast and dinners were unreal

Guests at the camping can enjoy hiking and skiing nearby. Snowmobile and dog sled tours are offered on site at an extra cost. Guests can also use the on-site barbecue facilities. The location is great and easily accessible. We got a cabin for 4 people instead of cabin for 2! Thus our night was very comfortable, the cabin was very spacious, though I am not sure you can always get such a big one for just 2 people. But in our case, many thanks to the host!
