Providing free WiFi throughout the property, BrimiBue Hotel is located in Lom, within 400 metres of Lom stave church. The hotel has a terrace and city views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. We stopped here on a drive from Oslo to Ulsteinvik on the coast. The location is perfect to break your journey and the town is charming. The rooms were fabulous — Scandinavian chique — and the kids loved the upper loft area where they slept. The hotel staff was fantastic and were super accommodating. We arrived late and called in advance asking if we could still eat in their award winning restaurant. While we couldn’t have the standard 5 course menu, they kept aside main course and dessert for us. The meal was the best we had in the trip and the service and hospitality was outstanding!

Sjodalen Hyttetun og Camping is a recently renovated chalet in Stuttgongfossen, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The chalet also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Second time we stayed here in wintertime and again it was an absolute fabulous experience. The surroundings are stunning and its such a relaxing place.

The owner was so kind , friendly and helpful we ran into some trouble on the way and he helped us out in made us feel very welcome

Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away.

Cottages include a seating area and a kitchenette. Some have a balcony with lake views. We recently stayed two nights here and had a fantastic experience. The staff are all highly friendly, courteous, and hospitable. Initially, we could not make it all the way to the hotel in our car as the road leading to the hotel was closed due to severe rainstorms in the days leading up to our stay. Nonetheless, the hotel sent out staff members to meet us at a pick up point and drive us to the hotel. They also had staff drive us to the ferry in Gjendesheim to catch the first morning ferry to Besseggen. We absolutely would not have made it to our incredible hike at Besseggen if they were not willing to be so accommodating to us. They even had staff drive us back to our car once our stay was over! The dinner at the hotel was wonderful, and my friend and I especially loved their selection of local beers and aquavit. All in all, if you are hiking Besseggen or embarking on other adventures in Jotunheimen National Park, I could not recommend Bessheim Fjellstue og Hytter highly enough!
