The ambiance and location of the hostel is by far one of the best that I’ve had in India. Leh Ladakh is so calm and peaceful, the Himalayan Mountains always only a few steps to the rooftop for an incredible view. The management is very conscientious about all of the guests and genuinely treats everyone like family. The facility feels almost new, the beds are comfy and the dorms are airy and sunny thanks to the windows that offer views similar to being on the rooftop. There is breakfast every morning (included) and a nice kitchen gathering space where everyone socially meets to hear about the best things to do in Leh Ladakh and share stories of all that has been done and discovered. The walk to the city center is a little bit of a distance compared to some properties that might be closer to the bustle of center, but the peace that the property offers to the quality of the travelers that stay here are all amazing, united in their passion for the area and travel. The hostel also offers meal ordering, of which the food is very nice and even accommodates some food prep requests. All in all, it’s very hard to leave a place that feels as good as this place. Highly recommended!!

We had an amazing stay at Thangkop House. We were warmly greeted by Dolma who is a wonderful host. She made us feel right at home and made sure we adjusted to the altitude. We loved Thangkop so much that we spent a few nights initially but then came back multiple times between trips to other places. The rooms are lovely and sunny. We had yummy breakfasts with homemade local bread. Wang (Dolmas son) helped us organise a scooter trip arranging for the bike to be dropped to the house for a very reasonable price and also helped us organise a trip to the Sham Valley Trek. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and if you are visiting Leh you should stay here :)

I am sure my words are not enough to match their hospitality. Not even for a second I felt that I was away from my home. The hotel is beautiful, nice, warm and welcoming. It is spacious and the staff is super friendly. Food is awesome, breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything is amazing. Anu and Arnab are always there for you, no matter if you are in the hotel or in the market or the bike you rented has a flat tyre, you’ll find them helping and guiding you all the way. Anu makes the best ginger lemon honey tea; I tired a lot of cafe’s but she add her special magic in it. Both Anu and Arnab will guide you on how to acclimatize, make sure that you are heathy and will keep a check on your well-being. They will give you hand written notes on where, when and how to explore. Just follow them blindly and you’ll enjoy your trip. Not just them, Alam and other staff are also as amazing as them. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Snow Lion Ladakh and I recommend this hotel.

The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. there's nothing to say about the new café and stay rumi except that it's beautifully decorated, cozy, and located close to the market – just a 2-3 minute walk away. The unique ambiance with its unique set of furniture is perfectly matched. I've traveled to many places, but I've never seen such beautifully simple furniture elsewhere. The city's simplicity is perfectly complemented here. And another thing to mention, it's one of the best community workshops. The wifi connection is excellent; there are no network problems even when working remotely. The staff here is also exceptionally courteous, briefing visitors beautifully. Even at such altitudes, there are no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend Rumi Café and Stay to everyone.

May be if the hotel can add few more items in its list like fruit juice, etc. The support of Mr JV, the owner, and his staff was excellent. I would recommend others to go for this property. He arranged rented vehicle which was driven by Karma. This guy was very co-operative and nice. No issues at all!
