Bu Ninik and her son went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their photos are true to what we expected. The house is clean and neat, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well equipped. We got complimentary extra pillows and blankets. There are ACs in the bedroom above, but the weather is cool and lovely anyway ... The kitchen is tiny but very well stocked. There are some cooking ingredients plus oils and spices, drinks, and extra gallon of drinking water to enjoy. There's also a washing machine but didn't try it. But the soaps and all are available. The seating areas are cozy, the balconies are also nice. The outside area is also good to seat down, and the kids can run around outside without fearing for their safety. The bakso vendor nearby also sells good bakso 🙂 We are a big family and we'd probably will come back if we ever visit Batu again.

We had a very good time at Pondok Is Oke, the family was very nice with us, they arranged shuttle and Ijen tour for us. The place was clean and comfortable, in the middle of their farm's fields. Breakfast was good. The place relaxing and quiet. I highly recommend this place for a trip to Ijen.

Didn't have to share with anyone else. The house was super well stocked and I didn't have to leave. Breakfast was super good, service was impeccable. It's worth every single penny.

Lumajang can be difficult to reach but they organized a driver from Malang for us, allowed us to use their scooters for the waterfalls, and even drove us to dinner one night! They helped with laundry, booking train tickets, and had delicious breakfasts and fruit for snacks! The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in while traveling Asia and the hot water was actually hot! Very central location to restaurants and the waterfalls.
