We liked the location which was in the village and close to shops, pubs and walks. The cottage is so well equipped and very cosy. The owners who live next door were very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel is in 15 acres of grounds, with lawns up to the shores of Lake Ullswater. The Inn On The Lake offers stylish en suite rooms with freeview TV, free WiFi and tea/coffee facilities. Thank you to Daniel, who waited at reception and made me a sandwich when I arrived after midnight on the first night, delayed due to traffic. This set the tone for the entire stay. The breakfast was fabulous, as was dinner. The friendliness and genuine tone of the staff was heartwarming. Everything was spot on, everyone was welcoming, the service was outstanding. I recommend the Inn on The Lake to everyone! It is a home from home and I'll be back!
