We could spend the whole day just watching the different ships, ferries and sailboats cruise by. Private off street parking made it easy to off load baggage. The cottage itself was built with efficiency in mind with a full kitchen including dishwasher and freezer. Breakfast fixings were on hand making it simple for the first day in the cottage. The bathroom was roomy, light and modern. The upstairs bedroom had a nice view of the river and skylights made it bright. The bed and linens were comfortable and road traffic at night was minimal. We really enjoyed the hosts who were available for any need or just a chat and wealth of information. Ferries to Dunoon and the Isle of Bute were close by. We liked the walking path across the road that you could walk to Gourock.
