A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. Everything was perfect. Our room was changed as requested, very friendly staff, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast. The site and view were stunning and the whole bar/restaurant area very spacious and comfortable

I just loved it. location and view were just perfect, My wife and boy were just too happy. I couldn't find the fire for BBQ then staffs were very kind helping me out even it was sunday evening! I don't know what it is like when it's wet though, for me I will visit again and again for sure. I can't imagine any better place then here as a familyman who like running and nature.

Clear communication before we arrived. Rooms: We opted for the larger room. Large bed, sofa and private bathroom. Well decorated and comfortable bed. Shower hot at all times. Rooms cleaned daily and restocked with drinks and sweet treats. WiFi in the rooms. Hosts: Mark was a great host. Welcoming, helpful and even provided us with an iron, as going to a wedding. Breakfast: Great cold selection of yoghurt, toast and cereals. Different jams on offer as well as marmalade. You order the cooked breakfast you would like on your first day. We had a full English breakfast each day. Excellent quality ingredients. The sausages were amazing. A little gift of cake was given on the last day. Fully recommend staying here, thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

The shower had shampoo conditioner and shower gel in the shower on the wall..bed very comfortable and great soft pillows. Breakfast was lovely very well cooked with no fat on the fry up at all.

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have views of the mountain or garden. All rooms have en-suite facilities with hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Lorna and Simon were so kind and very welcoming. Breakfast was super delicious and we appreciated the small snacks that were put everyday in our room Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. . Lots of lactose and gluten free options were available for one of us who has an intolerancy. We will definitely choose this place again if we visit lake district and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Maple Bank Country Guest House is a detached Edwardian residence set in an acre of gardens. Located in the village of Braithwaite, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, it offers free on-site parking and free WiFi access. Great location for some awesome hiking, The host is super friendly and the breakfast is one of the best we had. If you are in the area this guest house should be your choice.

Situated within the picturesque Lake District, the privately owned Glaramara Hotel boasts scenic views of the Borrowdale Fells, free parking, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and easy access to rock climbing, fell walking, and mine exploration. I loved absolutely everything. This will now be my base whenever I go to the Lakes. The location is stunning, couldn't get enough of the views from my window and everywhere around. The room was a very good size, comfortable, very clean. Staff very friendly but professional. Lovely breakfast with cooked items buffet and some pastries, fruit, cereal and yogurts. Generally lovely facilities, especially the lounge with the fireplace.
