A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. The room was as we expected, with great views. Breakfast, dinner, cheese platter with our drinks upon arrival as we traveled the whole day, a perfect start of our stay. The staff was as friendly and helpful as always and when we had to book an extra night last minute we got the large family room which, although not the great views, you do get red robbins on your windowsill to wake you up which we loved. Hoping to come back again in September.

Breakfast was 1st class and hot … room was nice and clean and serviced to good standard , location about 10min walk to town so was idea we wil definitely use again .

The shower had shampoo conditioner and shower gel in the shower on the wall..bed very comfortable and great soft pillows. Breakfast was lovely very well cooked with no fat on the fry up at all.

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have views of the mountain or garden. All rooms have en-suite facilities with hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Lorna and Simon were so kind and very welcoming. Breakfast was super delicious and we appreciated the small snacks that were put everyday in our room Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. . Lots of lactose and gluten free options were available for one of us who has an intolerancy. We will definitely choose this place again if we visit lake district and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Laurel Bank Guest House is located in Keswick, in the heart of the Lake District. Free WiFi access is available and each room has its own private, allocated parking space. Keswick town centre is just a mile away and features a variety of places to eat and drink. Breakfast was great. The place was clean and well kept. The location is just out of the busy center with a lovely walk there. It was a great place to stay.

Situated within the picturesque Lake District, the privately owned Glaramara Hotel boasts scenic views of the Borrowdale Fells, free parking, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and easy access to rock climbing, fell walking, and mine exploration. I loved absolutely everything. This will now be my base whenever I go to the Lakes. The location is stunning, couldn't get enough of the views from my window and everywhere around. The room was a very good size, comfortable, very clean. Staff very friendly but professional. Lovely breakfast with cooked items buffet and some pastries, fruit, cereal and yogurts. Generally lovely facilities, especially the lounge with the fireplace.
