We arrived late on the ferry which nearly had to return to Quiberon after a technical problem at the dock. We looked for an open restaurant (off-season) and couldn’t find one anywhere, so the night manager convinced the closed kitchen to make us two lavish marinated fish salads with bread and wine. The next day we realized that we had miscalculated the off-season bus schedule and after every taxi service turned us down, he phoned Felix the hotel director to take us out to see the needles of Port Coton, Monet’s subject. He threw in a small tour of the island, getting us back in perfect time to catch our ferry. What service!!! Better than the fanciest hotels of our stay in France. Highly recommend.
