After reading the reviews i was generally pleased by the stay. This hotel is full of local history which I found very interesting. The tour was well worth my time. All the paintings add charm to the place. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable and the carpet looked to be new. The plumbing was old but by following the directions I had a nice hot shower.

Great location to get to Death Valley. Accepts pets and fees are reasonable. Staff was outstanding by being so friendly, answering questions and even trying to find answers to questions she did not know. Dogs are very welcomed.

Convenient location if visiting Death Valley. Lot's of history, and we find it a very interesting place. I don't believe I will stay again though.

The hotel was a great location to visit Death Valley NationalPark. However the accommodations were ghastly. We stayed the two nights because we simply did not know where else to go. I will not stay at the hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone else. Some simple upgrades such as clean carpet, litter free entrance, appealing furniture in the common area, and better paint job. Can't believe I stayed here. AAA compared this hotel to Motel 6. That is an insult to Motel 6.

The location was excellent. Our plan was to visit Death Valley for two days, and stay outside the park, where it would be less expensive. The Amargosa met our expectations in that regard. There are a lot of individual things that we liked about our accommodation. The room, the carpet, and the bed linens were clean, The bed was comfortable. The room was convenient, we had a door from the room directly to outside. The WiFi worked okay.
