The cottage is located just below the walls of Monsaraz village so very close, so ideal. There are quite a few cafes and restaurants in the village and especially Xarez was really good. It has everything you need and the owner allows dogs. It has a fantastic little terrace/balcony.

Great very remote location with a spectacular view of the alqueva lake. Comfortable bed and a very nice room. Friendly and very helpful staff. From check in to check out everything was great! We particularly loved the dogs (Estrella!) and the very quiet pool area. If you want to relax in the middle of nowhere this is the place to be!
We stayed in different type of the room. First night room with a lake view without a plugged pool. 2nd night stayed with a view of countryside with a plugged pool. Both room are amazing with spectacular view. Our favorite is the one facing country side with plugged pool as it is facing Monsaraz castle. We traveled with our dog and the property is dog friendly hotel. This is the place where you wanna get away from hustle bustle life. Definitely will be back to this hotel.

There are so many things to love about this place. The hosts and staff really made our stay- as did all the people actually in this amazing region in Portugal. The decor is simply outstanding, the breakfast is PHENOMENAL (you haven't lived until you have tried a homemade cheese waffle!) the location is beautiful as are the dog and cats. It's really a magical place.
