The house is renovated to modern standards and with its extremely thick walls and double glazed windows is comfortable and quiet. The host is very charming and helpful. Parking is directly outside the front door which means you block the whole narrow street - not many places you can do that and it be ok!

This is a beautiful quirky apartment, it was spotless. Isabel greeted us so warmly and the property had so many little extra touches that made it really special, We were there for only one night and didn’t cook but it seemed to have everything you would need. Really comfy bed and spacious bedroom. The views from the property are amazing and the little terrace beautiful. A walk literally around the corner gives you stunning views over Alqueva Lake and another few yards up the hill takes you into the caste and the village of Monsaraz. This is a truly special and individual place.

Beautiful farmhouse, comfy rooms, great simple breakfast with freshly baked bread, cheeses, hams, preserves, fruit, really tasty. Breakfast is between 9 and 11, so if you need to leave earlier, than you should strategize. We had a few requests that were fully and promptly met. Would love to go back some day when the pool is open.
