Close to the end of a tough day on the Pennines Way. Great hosts and the food was excellent with good portions and try the chocolate brownie. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. We felt very welcome and well fed. Thank you Lana.

The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot. The included breakfast was yum and dinner was delish. A cafe from 10am till 8pm offers good coffee and a nice choice of cakes. It is out of the town which we liked.
Offering a variety of animal-adapted amenities, these properties provide a pet-friendly stay. Services may include sitting services, specialized bedding and dog walking. Some hotels even offer quirky perks like a gourmet room service menu for pets, as well as catnip and scratch poles.
Ideally located for exploring the North Pennines, at the edge of town for a quiet stay but with easy access to shops, etc. Lovely, comfortable and well-furnished cottage with necessary instructions for using things as well as information about the area and local walks (not to be missed!) Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
The location was perfect, just on the edge of the village and a stone’s throw from walks along the River Wear & the Weardale way.
The Staff & owners could not have given a warmer welcome and been anymore attentive. Full English breakfast was a cracking way to start the day the following morning to. Great value for money.
I stayed here as part of a cycle tour, it was conveniently located on the main road through Weardale. The small apartment was comfortable and cosy and had a little kitchenette with a microwave and kettle.
Lovel y village with amenities closeby. Excellent wifi connection in flat. allocated parking was a bonus. Would definitely stay again. Views are great from the living room.
The location was good with easy access to footpaths and local services. The apartment was relatively quiet considering the proximity of the other apartments. Parking was good and the rear gar/ paddock was very useful if you had a dog.
