The room was clean and modern, and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We arrived late the first night after a long international flight, and they worked with us to make sure we could get dinner at the Pennington Hotel, which was so appreciated after 24 hours of travel and not much in the way of a proper meal.

The location was great; plenty of great walking spots just a short drive away (30 mins). The sheets were all clean and the beds are comfy, however the bedrooms were really cold so I would pack thick pjs if staying in Winter.

Hot tub was lovely (some solar lights around the hot tub area could be a nice addition we thought) and the wood burner is a great addition. The logs were topped up on request. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. Great location for the beach, ennerdale and wast water, RavenGlass and for Scarfell pike walks too. Lovely cottage and location.

The location was brilliant. We used it as a base for exploring the coast and Wasdale, in particular walks on Yewbarrow and Pillar.

The beautiful views from the windows were amazing. We got lucky with the weather, the location is ideal for walking. The cottage had everything we needed for self catering. Ravensglass and the "ratty" steam train is a short walk along the coast, and of course the ratty pub is just the ticket for a well earned drink after a long walk. Highly recommend.

Nature, and a property it self great.just very dated downstairs and furniture is a bit too old for us.It also smelled,as possibly previous guests had dogs.Overall we spent all or time exploring Lake District, and spent only evenings in the house. Most important for us that linen were realy clean, and towels were freshly washed .Thank you,we had a great experience! Thanks to owner guy,as he explained us where kids can swim and jump in the river, unforgetable places with breathtaking views and friendly local people!!!Thank you again!!!
