All the staff were fantastic including Pip the manager and we were so well taken care of . Even our 3 small dogs were fussed over by all the locals in the bar sat next to a log fire drinking a local pint of beer ! What’s not to like . The evening meal was exceptional and the next day breakfast set us up for our 200 mile drive home . A great location in the centre of the picturesque village and a great walk onto the top of the hills with just behind the hotel this really is a very special place .

The George Hotel is very pet-friendly, there are nice country walks around the back as well. Charming old „Pup Inn“ with lots of character. Our room was out toward the court yard pup full of happy people (pleasant). A full English Breakfast was included in the price, very nice surprise.

Martin and Melanie gave us a very friendly and warm welcome. Communication beforehand was excellent. The property was beautiful. We loved the bedroom on the top floor, with the most beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious. One of the best bits...the dogs! We loved our stay very much, would recommend Ellesmere House to others and would love to come back.

Feels like the hosts are sharing their lovely period home with you. Breakfast was great - the homemade granola was fantastic. Great location, on edge of the village, making it great for strolling into the village without it being noisy. So many things to do in the local area. Good foodie gastro pubs nearby. We had a dog who was made to feel very welcome too. very comfortable rooms. loved the old gramophone.

Clean comfortable room, breakfast was good. Dog friendly with no extra charges, which is how it should be as every room should be deep cleaned after guests depart.
