I booked through a website and was unsure whether I had done the right thing!
We were pleasantly surprised. The initial treatment at reception was wonderful and the receptionist was extremely helpful, polite and efficient
We arrived early at 11,am and I went to inquire if we could leave the car there and go into Oxford. The receptionist was so helpful. Our room was ready and we were allowed to book in and she helped sort out the heating
Due to the receptionist being so helpful with everything allowed us to go into the City and have a full afternoon to investigate Oxford. We were under the impression it would be a continental breakfast but it was a vast variety of a buffet breakfast, including a full English, if that's what you wanted. All I'm all, and excellent night away.

What a wonderful pub hotel! The warm and welcoming pub/restaurant was complemented by great sized, beautifully decorated bedrooms! We stayed three nights and would thoroughly recommend. The food for breakfast and dinner was superb. The bonus was that they are very dog friendly too! Fantastic all round!

Large rooms quite quiet despite the traffic noise outside. Most of the staff were friendly and professional. Only one person was neither. The food was really good. The atrium (not sure what it’s called) has a good atmosphere. The staff really welcome dogs and some even recommended a place for a good dog walk. There are bowls and treats in the rooms too. Being able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast each morning.

Sally - Anne was friendly, kind and made me feel very comfortable. Check in was very easy, the location was beautiful and parking was easy. The breakfast was lovely and the shower was very good. It was very homely environment and her two dogs are also very lovely and welcoming. I came with my 2 whippets and they also had a very relaxed and comfortable time! I would definitely return.
What I like the mos is that is pet friendly. I like to come with my little dog as much as I can and is rather rare to find a hotel dog friendly for a decent price.
