Excellent accommodation for a great holiday with amazing food at the restaurant. The lovely hosts have created a very special place here and we were so glad we booked and would love to return. The apartment was perfect for our family and we all loved the pool and pretty courtyard. Nice views of Chinon and easy for enjoying the delights of this wonderful region. Best pizzas and creme brûlée - such a bonus!

It is in the middle of working vineyards in peaceful countryside. The courtyard garden was a delightful place to eat. The beds and the bed linens were superlative- better than a five star hotel.

The host gave us an interesting background tour of the history of the place and its architecture which was really kind as well as wonderful to hear. The facilities were lovely and so clean, and the touches of the past within the apartment were gorgeous and unique. So close to the river and right near the town, good places to park and many shops nearby. Also left some condiments and juice in the fridge for us which was lovely.

I have nothing but praise for the 2 guys that own this hotel. They are absolutely charming and perfect hosts. The room was brilliant, overlooking the square with a small balcony and very well laid out. Breakfast was superb in fact we think it was the best breakfast we have ever had in France. They even managed to get some gluten free bread for my wife

Felt very traditional, welcoming family hotel, with spacious rooms. Good location and walk over the bridge to the town. Nice and clean, helpful Staff relaxing garden areas and lounge. Superb breakfast, great value.
We were able to check in early. The location of the hotel is wonderful, right opposite the river, within easy walking distance of the fortress, old town and restaurants. The rooms are new, tastefully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and catered to our gluten intolerant daughter. It was a pleasure meeting the owner and receiving his local and travel recommendations.
Beautiful room with very pleasant terrace, quiet location away from Chinon centre but still only about 10 mins walk. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. I hadn’t booked the breakfast but they gave us croissants and pains au chocolate for free.
The room was small and not clean as suppose to be . We found a lot of dust.
Spiders and not really clean carpet also balcony was extremely dirty. No way you could seat outside .
Parking space limited . Staff not really able to communicate in English.

Le petit déjeuner was excellent, really set us up for the day. Vey peaceful and not far from Chinon a wam and friendly town. Bike rides are great. I can highly recommend La Bonne Note. We stayed 3 nights but could easily stay longer.
The gite was dog-friendly, easily accessible free and secure parking outside the gite, warm welcome by an appointed neighbour, exceptionally comfortable bed, only a mile into Chinon so very useful eg for restaurants, third of a mile to the nearest quite large and well-stocked Super U.
