It was our second stay here, and just as perfect as before. We loved the evening visit to the old church within the castle walls, and the opportunity to ring the bell. The hotel proprietor is a very knowledgable historian, and speaks excellent English. A most unique experience, highly recommended.

Exceptional location with a lot of charm and history. Possibility to watch and learn about the stars. Attentive staff, beautiful facilities and well-done basic food (we had tapas). It was lovely to sit outside and have the beautiful views of the surroundings. The way up to the hotel is curvy and rough, but it is part of the adventure and the charm. Definitely a place to come back and highly recommended.

The location within the walls of an abandoned ancient hilltop fortress town is unique. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a laidback vibe. The food was great and the value for money remarkable. The site is stunning both in the day and at night. The low light pollution of its far away setting and the dry air make for astounding star gazing.

Location was absolutely stunning. Hotel room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Staff lovely. Dining area was quite basic but suited the setting. Food was average but good value. It is a unique experience to stay at Albacara and we feel privileged to have stayed in such a special place.
