Great location and the staff were amazing - able to help us book the el cocuy trip within a short period of time. Only downside was no hot water in the shower.
Great location and friendly family run business. They organized the park reservations, food for hike days, drives, and amazing guides for all three el Cocuy hikes.
The stay with Martha was no less than perfect - comfortable and pleasant rooms, the hostel is beautiful (mainly in the morning when the sun emphasizes the colors on the walls), the location is excellent and breakfast wonderful. But over everything - Martha herself is the great advantage of this place! She helped us, professionally, to plan our days in the reserve, talked for us with Miguel the guide, organized transportation and even gave us Coca leaves for tea to get used to the heights. absolutely the best place in town!
Jorge & Ana we’re lovely and attentive. They made sure to go out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Location is wonderful too, just outside the town.
Location was amazing, the landscape is stunning, and the staff are the best, all the time advise you how to make the best choice in order to enjoy your time there, no doubts we hopefully Will be back soon that's for sure
Since I made two reservations, I guess I get to write two reviews for my time at El Caminante. It was the highlight of my ten day trip to Colombia! The hostel was very clean, well taken care of, and in a gorgeous location. Marta was not only a fantastic host, but an excellent guide for two day hikes in the national park. Well worth the trek to get here!
