The room was spacious with a nice carpet, comfy bed. Bathroom was clean. Space for the car was outside. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food made an exceedingly pleasant change from the traditional Canadian restaurants. Baddeck is a great location for exploring the Cabot Trail.
Location on a hill overlooking the water at sunset was a great start. The restaurant far exceeded my expectations with super friendly staff and excellent food --- the homemade fries were a revelation, the fish was done to perfection. Breakfast runs the gamut from death by calories to milk and cereal and accommodates all. But it's all topped by the always present and congenial management and team, that made our first stay in a motel with a service dog a pleasure.
The location is fantastic. It is within a short walking distance to the center of Baddeck, it’s practically in it, and we could see the water from our room. The beds were VERY comfortable. I also love that each room had two Adirondack chairs outside. We travel with show dogs and the fact that this motel is pet-friendly is the biggest bonus. I will absolutely stay here again.
Breakfast on the water was fabulous (scenery and the food was good too).
