It's indeed a pretty house with a big pool in a lovely garden. Swiss born Jürg and his wife Jane are the best hosts ever, very welcoming, generous.and helpfull. Jürg gave me loads of great tips also beyond Canavieiras. The best: take the boat from Belmonte to Canavieiras.

Did you ever come to a hotel and felt immediately home? I never had this in many years of global travel. But that changed when entering Bambusada. Why? I would say it made the combination of the super cool and friendly owners Mara & Koni and a place that seems to have been built with a lot of heart and soul. Hotel is couple steps from historic town center and boat harbor. Peter is amazing host, he is very friendly and he gave us great recommendations. Canavieiras is beautiful town there is lot happening very close to hotel yet hotel itself is very peaceful. This is the best place you can get if you like to stay at the historic town center
