Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

The lodge offers a continental or buffet breakfast. Wonderful location with breathtaking views from the room. We booked a room, but got a free update to a bungalow! Waking up with sunrise from your bed! All very clean and comfortable! Nice breakfast included for very fare price!

View from room was amazing and room very comfortable. Easy parking. Facilities excellent including outdoor pool, sitting out areas, well stocked bar and serving tapas. Breakfast was superb.
