The lodge offers a continental or buffet breakfast. The setting was like nothing I've experienced before. The view from our balcony of the Duro Valley was like the view from an airplane! The beds were so comfortable! The modern cottage was unique. The pool was clean and beautiful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was superb.

Delfim Douro Hotel was in one word Fantastic, even with a minor incident, what the staff directly and very professional corrected. The moment you walk in, the staff is there. With all the friendly help and the pre-checking was quickly. Everything was in my eyes perfect. We loved also that the hotel helped employees with a handicap, to see the Hotel is not afraid to have employee in a in the wheelchair, who solved our little problem with all the professionalism you can get. The restaurant was great, good food for a decent price, good variety wine and loved the desert, Florest chocolate, you have to try it. :-)

The sunny rooms of Casa Das Obras also have modern comforts such as a TV and central heating. Beautiful old spacious house, with modern bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were comfy and bedding great. The communal are is big and beautiful, feels like going back in time because of the use of stone and size of the area. It is however cozy with ample heating provided when it got cold. Enough games , including a snooker table to keep us occupied while it was raining and cold. The host is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Overall a memorable stay

So friendly, funny, helpful and generous. While having a beer on the patio area, I was busy sowing a torn bag I use to carry small items (GPS, Go-pro camera, cell phone holder, cell phone, charging cable,etc) when Marco brought tje beers. Soon after, he arrived with a replacement bag and gave it to me. So thoughtful and I call this generosity of spirit. Restaurant had great food and all the staff were so friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
