We also loved how the hotel was decorated; lots to see (artwork, books, etc... not your standard hotel lobby) and the location was perfect for us: short walking distance to everything in Christchurch center. In the same courtyard as the hotel you can find a wine bar which is a lovely place to spend an evening. I cannot think of a single thing that I would suggest to change in this hotel. Our stay was simply perfect.
