You have a private bedroom and bathroom with a separate entry but you also have access to their living room, kitchen, and oceanfront balcony. The house is walking distance (0.1-0.2 miles) from downtown Whitianga's restaurants and wharf. Heather and Don also gave us a bottle of Chardonnay, fruit, and snacks and the room is stocked with all kinds of things you might need but have forgotten. They even let us borrow their shovels to go to Hot Water Beach and dig to the underground hot water springs, saving us from having to rent.
