The property is fairly new so all of the accommodations are modern. It also has a stand alone bungalow room, which I stayed in, which is like having one’s own little home! There is a beautiful pool on the property as well. The family that runs the property is great and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. We had a great stay in Ranakeliya lodge. We stayed in a tent which felt like we were still in the park. Everything had a great taste for design and was very clean. The breakfast was just lovely and cherry on the top! Highly recommended

The hosts were very friendly and they even helped us book seats on the bus back to Kandy. The host prepared dinner which was very delicious and at an affordable price. The rooms were clean and overall it was a good experience.

The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed as a couple at Saffron Lake Yala for 3 nights. The facilities were excellent - we stayed in one of the villas and it was spotlessly clean, with great finishings/facilities - spacious, comfortable bed, fan and A/C, hot water (not warm, hot!) and good pressure. There is no dining room area as such, food is served to you on the terrace of your villa or room. Staff, in particular the manager Roshan, were very friendly and helpful - arranging tuk tuks, travel advice, preparing food, hot drinks, etc. We also arranged our full-day safari to Yala National Park through the hotel (with a driver/guide called Ruwan @ Wild Angle Sri Lanka) - which was fantastic and again competitively priced. Location of the hotel was beautiful and peaceful, right on the lakeside, which you can wander along to birdwatch/see the sunset. Is not centrally located - is a long walk or 20min tuk tuk (1000LKR) from the centre of Tissa, but safari and taxi can pick up/drop off directly at the hotel.

The accomodation is on a lagoon, 2 villas has private pool and one is without pool. The infinity pool is small but nice facing the lagoon. The place is well kept and clean. The room is good size and everything was clean, which was for us the most important thing. We had an early check-in without any problem. We booked the Safari with them with a coscious driver for 105$ for 2 people. We also had dinner at the restaurant and eat very well. All the staff is welcoming and ready to assist you anytime.

We wanted to do two national parks and the wild culture was an amazing place to stay and the provided the booking for both yala and udawalawe national parks. Was so nice of them to prep ice box and some snacks for the national parks. The service there is high standards. Also expect good signal there. Upul we called him (Mr. Tuna) was the best service guy at the stay, funny and gave us good advices and so friendly. The breakfast was supper even the dinner try the beef kuttu.

No words to describe this place! Brand new rooms with everything new in it (done by loving hands). Good AC. Nice smell. The house is standing across the lake and has a nice garden where you can have a “safari” experience for free. You’re surrounded by nature. This family owned place is full of love and care. There is no room here to list all the wonderful things we received at this place! It captured our hearts! Excellent communication. The owner arranged the best safari driver and very good transfer to our next destination. Showed us area around, took care of every step of our time being there. We were treated with such genuine love and care that we wanted to cry! This house provides not just amazing place to sleep but a real resort, that treats you as a king. I honestly doubt there is anything else like this in Sri Lanka. I wish we could spend more time there. Don’t hesitate to book if you wish to be in good trustworthy hands.

We loved this place! Wonderful homestay overlooking the lake. The owner has created a very comfortable room- lovely 4 poster bed with comfy mattresses and pillows, a huge dressing mirror, hairdryer, desk and chair and a stand to hang clothes, AC and TV. The rooms share a wrap around balcony and a nice terrace to have your meals. Gemunu and his wife made us a lovely dinner - hoppers and fish curry was delicious. The buffalo yoghurt with treacle is a must. We booked a half day safari through them. Chamara was a good guide and we even managed to see a leopard. Though we stayed only a night we loved it and hope to stay here again. Gemunu was really helpful in getting our laundry done for us - washed and folded. It was really appreciated. A fantastic base for your safari.
