The Inn was very good (clean, confortable, well located). The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with advice for our day trips. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty. The property itself was immaculate! Huge common area, very large and nice kitchen, an outdoor terrance overlooking a river down below, and onsite Onsen (both indoor and outdoor!). The lady working reception was incredible. She was very helpful with an foot injury I had and I don't know what I would on done without her help. Hostel is immaculate! It takes about 45 minutes by subway or bus to the actual town of Nikko. If you plan on visiting Tobu World Square or any of the hiking/waterfalls north of the town, it is perfect! You get a real mountain town feel being outside of the city center.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She showed us places where we could eat and gave us a map with the bus timetable. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy. I think it was my best sleep in any hotel I have ever stayed in. There is also an electric heater under the futon, if you need one. Just like other reviewers mentioned, In the morning we were given a breakfast that was not included in the price. It contained meat, bread, multiple vegetables and fruits. Again, the best breakfast I ever had.

The hosts where some of the nicest people we have ever met met. They made staying at the stay house an experience in itself. we would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Nikko.

Elizabeth and Satoshi were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make us comfortable. This included giving lifts to us into town and train station, which we really appreciated. The breakfasts and dinner were delicious, we would 100% recommend eating here. The inn is in the woods, so views are great. The room was large and comfortable. A large bottle of water was provided every night. There are a choice of onsens on site which we took advantage of and were great. The common area was comfortable and we had great conversations with Elizabeth in there. Elizabeth and Satoshi are the highlight of this stay. Please don't hesitate to book your stay here!
