All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!

Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Set in Izabal, 45 km from Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The rooms are equipped with a patio with views of the river. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and pool views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. The bed was comfortable - always the most important thing for me! We had a lovely room by the pool - and as all the other customers seemed to be business men, we had the pool to ourselves, The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of different options. We often travel for work between Guatemala City and Tegucicalpa and have tried various hotels along the route in the past. It felt very safe and secure. This was absolutely the best place we've stayed and will definitely use it again when we're travelling that way.

The host was lovely and we very much enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

The hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. I’ve been travelling for 6 months and so far this is my favourite hotel. it’s totally beautiful. Surrounded my jungle and wildlife, including crocodiles. I met one big croc and watched him for half hour. Was one of my highlights of my trip. The food here is really really good. I enjoyed every single meal. Delicious! The staff are all super friendly and although I don’t speak Spanish they really did not mind.So many places I stay won’t help. The cleaners are also really kind. It’s very fast to get a boat over to the town but it’s so nice in the hotel I didn’t bother much. The pool is clean and lovely too. The trip up the river to Livingston is breathtaking. I liked it so much I stayed longer. let’s not forget the two ginger cats that followed me about and sat on my lap every morning. They made me feel very at home, as I miss my own cats.

Across the bridge from Rio Dulce itsself, but everything is a short tuktuk ride or boatride away. Perfect location and pool. Very nice cabins! Best we had in the whole of Guatemala.
