The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and chatty with everyone, she truly was a ray of sunshine :)) she gave us a lot of useful information abut hiking trails to Meteora too. The rooms were relatively chilly, considering the rather challenging temperatures of the Kalambaka summer heat, due to well functioning fans and a.c. The beds were cozy and comfortable. They also provide free towels for guests, and the bedrooms and restrooms were always squeaky clean and in great condition for a hostel! Kitchen and the communal places were also greatly equipped, and likewise clean.

Built with stone and wood, in the village of Kastraki, Guesthouse Vavitsas offers elegantly decorated rooms with views of Meteora Rocks and their famous monasteries. It has a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner, 40 metres away. Staying there puts you in a meditative state even if you're not looking for that. You'll find your peace. While I enjoyed my stay then I must mention it's probably not very suitable for unfit people (so many stairs and light climbing to get to the beach) and people with small children who can't swim. The sea gets deep very fast. Most suitable for younger childless crowd.

Rooms at Ziogas each have air conditioning and a modern bathroom. Choose from a variety of bedding configurations. A true gem near the mysterious rocks!!! Only high level hotels provide service as they did in this family owned place. Room was equipped with everything from shampoo bottles (which were changed into the new ones once empty) to hair dryer, iron, mugs and dishes, one of the most comfortable huge bed, and a balcony that is almost as spacious as the room itself. I ordered breakfast, which I wasn’t able to finish and with noticing that, the owner brought me some foil to wrap the food and save it for later. Meteora is my favourite place in the world, not the first time here, not the last one either, but the next time I come I will book this hotel again. Do you need taxi? Do you need your coffee refilled? Is everything alright with the room? Wow, they really take care of their guests!!! By the way, the view is even better then they promise!!! The centre of Kalabaka Town is 2 km away. Kastraki Village lies within 500 metres and Trikala Town can be reached in 22 km. Free private parking is available in the premises. Nice location, incredible view, friendly people would best describe our experience here. Room was smelling nice, had good temperature after a hot day, beds comfortable and we enjoyed a good sleep.

Each one is comfortably furnished and features stunning views of Meteora Rocks. Staff super friendly on arrival. Love the location to the rocks and the village. Room was rustic and gorgeous. Plenty of space and good air con. Staff printed off some urgent paperwork for us as soon as we asked. So much charm. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in area. Local food 10 mins walk away was amazing. Best Moussaka and lemon potatoes we've ever had!!

Pyrgos Adrachti Hotel is just 1 km away from Kalambaka and within a short drive of the 6 monasteries and plenty of restaurants. A spacious free private parking is available in the premises. Best view from the hotel "ever". Front desk person was very helpful. We reached after midnight in rain and lost our way in dark. He answered our call and came over to us to guide us to the hotel. Location is difficult to find in the night, even with Google maps. Breakfast had amazing selection. I'd say staying at this hotel was a highlight of our Greece trip.
