The nearest airport is Kalamata International Airport, 50 km from Hotel Isaraiko Spiti Agia Theodora. I have arrived for the weekend to visit and study the Byzantine church of Agia Theodora, a few kilometers nearby. I was welcomed by the friendly Mr Pantelis who runs the place. He was always present, provided valuable information and gave excellent recommendations. He also took care of the excellent dinner, which I ate at the hotel. I felt very welcomed, and was invited to join the locals in the evening to watch the football game at the lobby. The hotel is very clean and cozy, and so was my room with a spectacular view all over the Megalopoli's valley. I used the hotel as a base for excursions in the area. The church of Agia Theodora is a captivating place that does not let you leave. This is one of the most beautiful areas in Arkadia and the Peloponnese, and offers splendid hiking possibilities.
