booked two rooms which were both very nice and clean. the rooms are well equipped and in a good location making it easy to access local amenities. no issues with parking as there are various options including on street parking and an ncp car park.
We really enjoyed our 2 nights here in early March. The landlady and bar staff welcomed us in and were very friendly. Yorkshire hospitality at its best. Also free parking in the car park at the rear of the pub.
Having stayed at another place near Barnsley Hospital, which was dreadful, the Market was an oasis. Although a bit further away from the hospital it was clean and comfortable. Pub downstairs if required. Next to the heritage centre. End of month free concert if interested. The Maison du Bierre highly recommended. Elsecar Park and reservoir nearby. Free parking.
The apartment was clean and pleasant. The bathroom was clean. Kitchen facilities were good. There is a basic mini mart downstairs and a few takeaway fast food places nearby. It is a 5 minute walk into the city centre with all the usual shopping and restaurants.Parking was 'on street' or in a nearby open air car park (Windrush Way Car Park). Full-day parking ranged from 3 to 12 pounds, the car park being cheaper than the street parking.

I found the location quite discrete although it’s very centrally located. Car park was a 2 minute walk although there was street parking available just around the corner.
Very reasonably priced and very close to the city centre. Room was comfortable and clean. Free parking in a private car park. Nothing to dislike about this place.
Location just a v short walk to the cathedral and city centre. Shower good warm and powerful. Bed comfortable. Not noisy some people said it was a noisy area There is no free parking. On street parking outside OK for drop off but on expensive meters.car park recommended was v. tight and full . But there are 2 NCP car parks nearby. We used the one in Sully St for £11 for 24 hours
Fairly easy to find, on street parking nearby, metered during the day but free overnight. Also a car park nearby and very handy for the City Centre.
