Built in the 17th century, the Bird in Hand Inn retains many period features including Cotswold stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is a large fireplace in the winter and a terrace for summer dining. Evening meal was exceptional and very good value. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice.

Free parking is available at the hotel, and Bicester Outlet Shopping Village is just 5 minutes’ drive away. Bicester town centre is also a 5-minute drive, while Oxford is 25 minutes away by car. The M40 motorway is easily accessible, just 2 minutes’ drive away. Everything. The breakfast was exceptional

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Talbot Inn provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. It is located 10 km from Blenheim Palace and features a housekeeping service. There is parking on-site and the property offers an electric vehicle charging station. The staff could not be more helpful, they went beyond what was expected and looked after us very well. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Oxford. It only a short bus trip into town, the bustop is only 150 metre away, leave the car in their car park and just commute.

A great cottage and everything was perfect and exactly how I wanted to spend my week in Henley.
