The National Railway Museum is just a mile from The Apple House and there is free parking at the property. Danielle, the proprietor, is absolutely lovely. She takes a special interest in every guest. The location is outstanding! We could walk the whole city easily from there and felt quite safe even after dark. Breakfast options were excellent and the parking plentiful.
Grassington

The location, it was authentic, charming and the right size and scale. The hosts Stephen, Richard and Lynn were just the best.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel as a lovely dining area and the meals are excellent especially the breakfast. Entertainment was provided both evenings and was good . Near to a nice walk on cliff tops. Car parking on site at a rate of six pounds per night or on street parking at 2 pounds per night.
The hosts must love their job, you cannot fault their friendly professional approach. The room, though on the small side was great for our stay, we do travel quite a lot and this is the first place where a flask of fresh milk for your morning cuppa was outside your room by 7am. The breakfast was first class; you leave your selection in the hall and it is ready and freshly cooked for you next day. Car parking nearby is a major problem, but so is it all over Hawes.

The Crown is very central and there is car parking nearby overnight if you cannot get a space in the hotel car park. The room was clean, light and bright.
Excellent communication with the owner to arrange key collection and car parking permit which was left in the house for us. On street parking and we were fortunate to be able to park directly outside the house. Really comfy beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Location was perfect in a quiet residential area.
Well organised, I had to download an app for the smart lock which was really easy and meant we couldn’t forget or lose a key. Free parking also all arranged before we arrived and lots of on street parking so no worrying about extortionate car parking in the city centre. Good location, 25 minute max walk to the city centre. Lovely decor, the house is nicely finished throughout.
Lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful. Lovely clean room with own shower room and toilet. Some parking available on site, if car park is full free parking tickets are provided by the owner for on street parking. Great breakfast huge selection fresh fruit cereals, yogurt continental breakfast and cooked English breakfast, tea, coffee and fruit juice.
The free car parking nearby was a great bonus (this is on street parking but we never had a problem finding a space) and the riverside walk into the city was lovely, also feeling safe and well lit at night.
The location was perfect for eating places. The room was large spotlessly clean. Large comfortable double bed. Whilst it did not have onsite parking there was free parking on a council run car park between 6pm to 9am approx 100 meters away The staff at the Black Swan were friendly and very helpful.
Lovely staff, comfortable room and great location for the quieter part of Scarborough. Plenty of on street parking nearby if the hotel's car park is full. There's seating on the terrace that gets the sun in the morning and a nicely decorated bar/ lounge area to relax in.
