Our room large offering plenty of space for my morning yoga’s routine. We enjoyed all the facilities the props had to offer and there were plenty of them! Pool, spa x2, steam room and sauna. Breakfast was delicious and great service. All the staff were friendly yet efficient. I would highly recommend staying at Ambleside Salutation if you are visiting the Lakes District. We loved our stay here!

Central , car parking nearby , actually quiet for a central place well equipped and the neighbours who live there were wonderful even told us to go and sit in their shaded area and all spoke to you and asked if all ok
Great location, free parking in the car park next to the guesthouse. Our room was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a short break away. Rob kindly organised some beers for our room for my partners birthday, he was very friendly and welcoming, we didn’t need to contact him during our stay but nothing would have been too much trouble had we have needed too. No breakfast included but this didn’t bother us as there’s so many places around.
Warm welcome after arriving later than anticipated due to traffic. Clean, comfortable room. Annette & Wes friendly and helpful. Plenty of on street parking nearby. Central location. Would definitely stay there again.
Room had personal touches such as make up remover cloths and face cloths. Toiletries included hand wash and lotion, shampoo and conditioner., bath lotion. Lots of tea, coffee and biscuits and water each day. 2 small bottles of wine too. Nothing too much trouble, if you wanted something just ask. Lovely breakfast. Free parking in pay and display car park.
Lovely location out the way of noise, close to aira force waterfall and staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable with a nice view. Breakfast is included in the price and plenty of options. Good list of wines and beers/ciders. Excellent food served at dinner time as well. Free parking with a large car park.
Central, clean & comfortable in traditional Lake District slate property. Stunning views - we had room 1 with windows on 3 sides. Plenty of hot water & good quality bedding on beds. Slept well - quiet room. Friendly staff. U book a breakfast time & menu option, so no waiting around for a table. Handy to have free parking as Ambleside car parks are expensive & busy.
Very comfy beds, breakfast was tasty, and good tea and coffee is served. Hotel has a quiet bar used by the locals with low prices. Free parking nearby next to the station, or ask about the disc system. Location is good for exploring the quieter Cumbrian coast or dipping into the far pricier Lake District.
Great location with free parking. We were informed that the entrance to the car park was 7feet wide at the narrowest point so we took the mini and folded the mirrors in. Room was in the courtyard near the car and we could sit outside with a brew................................................... .
