Islay Airport is a 10-minute drive for The Islay Hotel. A links golf course is less than 10 minutes' drive away and guests can visit the distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg, situated between 5 and 10 minutes' drive. There is free parking at the property. Location was great - easy walk to the whisky trail. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Within 15 minutes’ drive of 4 of the Isle of Islay’s whisky distilleries, Skerrols House has uninterrupted countryside views and is just a 5-minute drive from the coastal village of Bridgend. Located in the centre of the island, Bowmore Distillery is less than a 10-minute drive away. Thomas the manager of Skerrols went beyond his duties to make our stay as pleasant as possible. His fenomenal was always a bright point of the day. The facilities are just perfect, nice luxurious, clean and everything works as expected. The common room always had working fire place and some refreshments. Skerrols house only has a limites space so the common room is never busy. The location of Skerrols is in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, no bars around but still easily reachable by cab or car This was our third time there and there will be a fourth
