On Sunday I got a text from Condor stating Monday's boat was cancelled due to weather. At the time I was at the Premier Inn - and after enquiring and finding out they wanted another £100 for 1 night, I checked booking.com for availability elsewhere - and this popped up for £38 a night. I worked on the road in the UK and have stayed at A LOT of hotels and BnB's in my time - so was only really after a place to put my head down. Genuinely - probably the best £38 I've ever spent. Colin is an absolute delight and will happily ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very clean, with TV's, a kettle, fridge and microwave. Proximity to a local Waitrose, pub and a great fish and shop is perfect AND breakfast was included! Two whole kippers, a jug of coffee, toast and marmalade! Honestly - there's a reason this place comes so highly reviewed. Will happily be stranded in Guernsey again if I get to stay here!

Situated in Castel, in a historic building, 1.2 km from Cobo Beach, The Lodge - Studio Apartment's is an apartment with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and garden. Boasting a bar, the apartment is close to several noted attractions, around 1.5 km from Grand Rocques Beach, 1.6 km from Port Soif Beach and 1.6 km from The Royal Guernsey Golf Club. The apartment also offers facilities for disabled guests. We loved the apartment, perfectly equipped for our stay and definitely ideal for an even longer visit. Wonderful quiet location in the Cobo/Castel area, a short and pleasant walk or drive from the beach, close enough for comfort and just far enough away from the popular and sometimes loud bay itself. Will definitely be staying again.

Accommodation consists of 4 self-catering properties with 1 or 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bath or shower, living room with TV. All linen is supplied, as well as free parking & al fresco seating areas. Housekeeper available if any problems. Easy to reach from airport. Quiet. Everything there you needed during stay. Clean and comfortable.

Every unit comes with a private bathroom with a hairdryer. My husband, my elderly mother and I had a fantastic week at Ilex Lodge. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, and everything we needed was there for us. There were even lovely touches such as a loaf of local raisin bread and a bunch of fresh local flowers that made me smile. The lodge is in lovely gardens and I really appreciated the trees, birdsong and flowers just outside the windows. It is an easy, pleasant walk into the heart of St Peter Port and the harbour, so Ilex Lodge is in a fantastic location, close to town, but quiet and peaceful. The three of us arrived exhausted and desperately in need of a holiday, and left rejuvenated and recovered. It was exactly the holiday we needed. Thank you so much.

Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom. Some rooms have en-suite shower rooms. There is a children's play area within the grounds. Excellent location central to what we wanted and if we had used the buses, that would have been alright as well, well equipped, good facilities,friendly staff, will come gain.

Just a 6-minute drive to the town of St Peter Port, and walking distance to Guernsey’s south-coast bays and cliffs, The Ellingham Cottages has 12 two and three-bedroom holiday cottages. They all feature free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, a large shared garden and laundry facilities. Close to the beauty spots in the south of the island. Cottages were clean and comfortable. Cottages were very quiet.

Pandora Hotel is located in a quiet part of town, just a 5-minute walk from St. Peter Port. Private parking is possible nearby, and the hotel has free WiFi in public areas.

A period built house in a tranquil atmosphere, Pandora Hotel has en suite rooms throughout. Rooms come complete with a flat-screen TV, a radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Everything was very nice food, room and the reception people where very helpful, even helping me with a change of travel as l did not have ant Wi-Fi with me. Thank you
