In the winter, guests may experience the Northern Lights, and enjoy the midnight sun in the summer time. We loved our little glass hut with an amazing view of trees and the frozen lake Inari. It was amazing to see the Northern lights through our roof and to use the daytime for cross-country skiing over the lake.

Each room features large windows to view the surrounding nature and if lucky, the Northern Lights during winter. A shared sauna is also available. Love this hotel. Check in was fast and special , thanks to Ms Henna who was so jovial and friendly. This pretty red haired lady gave us so much information patiently with lots of smiles. We were there for our anniversary and she reserved a room with superb views. Thanks for the gifts too. The restaurant served delicious food, excellent service, good wine and please do try it. There is a fireplace in front of Reception, with burning logs in the evening and so nice to have a relaxing beer here. Breakfast was very good, high quality food. The room was wonderful, clean and modern. We saw aurora just outside our room and throughout the night. Truly amazing. Ample parking. Sauna is located in the bathroom and we can enjoyed the sunset from the window inside the sauna. This place is highly recommended and we hope to be back again in future.

The property is 11 km from central Saariselkä, Kiilopää fell is 5 km away. Everything was great. The Cabin was spacious and clean, and it was very comfortable staying there. There was a kitchen complete with cooking equipment, with plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, so you can cook your own meals and keep your costs down. There’s a coffee machine too. If you book airport transfers with them, they will take you to the supermarket first before proceeding to the Cabin so you can buy everything you need. The hosts Jaana and Mika were very kind and gracious. They even allowed us to check out late for free when they learned that our flight would leave at 6:00pm. If you’re thinking of spending time in Lapland, stay at Polar Aurora Cabins. You will not regret it.
