The location of this hotel is well situated on the outskirts of Guilin city. It has several attractions within a walkable distance, such as Reed Flute Cave, but it is also a drivable within an hour and a half to major tourist sites like Longji rice terraces to the north and Yangshou county to the south. It is also within a cozy village, and we explored the local restaurants in the first day. The friendly owner of the establishment went above and beyond in service, responded through text quickly to arrange private tours to the places we wanted to go. We were picked up from the train station when we arrived at Guilin and transported back at the end of the trip. Breakfast options range from homemade local guilin rice noodles with fruit to a more western style option if preferred. Bed was comfortable with working wifi and AC. I was expecially impressed by the small things, how when we came back from a long day of touring the owner would always have fresh fruit waiting for us, how the towels and complimentary water would be refilled and waiting for us on our return, and how we were given a bag with snacks and other items for our trip home. If you are looking for a relaxed, local experience with good service that serves as a base to set off to see all Guilin has to offer, then I can't recommend this place enough.

It's ideal for hiking, biking, e-biking, rafting, rock climbing, and rafting ........... Check-in was easy, just hand in the passports/ID and they'll bring them back to you when registered, the public area has a cosy fireplace, a small bar and a restaurant area. Tea and coffee are on hand all day, and afternoon snacks are provided as well. The restaurant food is mostly Chinese but tasty and a few other bits such as chicken popcorn and chips for the kids. Breakfast is fine with cereals, toast, a range of hot foods, eggs and noodle soups. The pool is open all year and the brave in winter can take a dip! there is outdoor seating overlooking the river and a rainproof gazebo in wet weather. The rooms are spacious and rustic. the beds are clean and comfortable with aircon for hot and cold as needed. Some rooms are suitable for families singles couples and friends so plenty of choices. Tips - contact the hotel for we chat connections and they can be super helpful and cater for your needs. free bikes are on hand and the hotel can help with a range of activities, many an easy cycle or within an hours walk. hiking the back trails along the rivers and karst is easy and well worth it but download apps to your phone such as MapsMe, Locus Map and A Map have most of the paths marked between them. The nearest train station is Yangshuo 2h30m ish from Guangzhou and 4-5h30m from Wuhan and the airport at Guilin. The hotel can arrange transfers.

Location and the view are just superb!!!! really close to the West street (especially if you rent a bike or bicycle), lots of small fruit shops nearby. Staff is friendly and speaks great English, always trying to help you to find out information. You can grab a decent coffee (for its price) at the reception and enjoy Mountain View near the pool. please be prepared that it’s a guest house, so the room equipment is very minimalist, just with couple of towels, shampoo, shower gel and slippers. Free toothbrush you can grab at the reception. Again, for its price this is a perfect choice for solo travelers or friends trip. Definitely not for families.

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. Offering sweeping views of Li River and Karst mountains, it features free Wi-Fi in all areas. Free public parking is also available on site. In addition to the outstanding room and view, the attention to detail from the staff was incomparable to the average hotel. The room was not only incredibly clean, but warmed up upon our arrival. When we did not arrive at the time we said, we received a call to check up on whether we made it to the city alright. A private car brought guests to and from the city center and back 4 times a day. They also accommodated for vegans by subbing out pre-set menu items, but the offerings were already pretty extensive. In addition, everything we had was tasty, but the coffee stood out. The milk to add to the coffee was also warm, another great attention to detail.

Tucked away from the city, relaxing, nice views. restaurant and pool available. Beautiful bike ride into town. Staff were so helpful and really made our stay feel special. Very close to a bus stop to Xingping, which was convenient! 15 min bike ride to the city of Yangshuo, bikes and e-bikes available to rent.

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. It features collections of ancient Chinese antiques, modern art galleries, a Chinese-style courtyard and accommodation with free wired internet access. The staff is great, very helpful and kind. The location is perfect, it's quiet and beautiful, there is a wonderful lake just across from the hotel and a wonderful view of the mountains from the 5th floor. There are plenty of shops around. The breakfast included was consistent and delicious. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were nice details all around the hotel, the place was interesting and tastefully decorated. The place for the tea ceremony was also a very special point. I highly recommend the place
