Liked the book exchange in the lobby. Beautiful patio/sitting area in the front of the hotel. We used the pool as well, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very nice! So many options, have never seen a free breakfast with that many hot options.

The town of Smithers is 40 minutes’ drive away. Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic! Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

Situated in Jade City in the British Columbia region, Cooks and Puppies Hideaway features a patio and mountain views. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the chalet's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Location, location location was simply stunning overlooking Cook Lake. The property was extremely well appointed and Kristy had thought of everything, fabulous comfy accommodation, pristine. The fridge was stocked with food Homemade apple juice (sorry Kristy we drank it all), orange juice, milk of various percentages, eggs and homemade jams. Fresh loaf of bread, cereals. A delicious pot roast in the oven, salad and dressing in the fridge for when we arrived, throughly enjoyed a homemade meal..Everything was so neatly organised, Kristy explained everything we needed to know. Bistro table and chairs on the deck, Kristy even supplied mosquitos burner and spray. There is no Wi-Fi signal so you are off grid, which is not a bad thing for a few days. You park at the top and walk down the gravel path to the private property, a buggy is available for luggage and bags to be trolled down. A small boat is available for guests to take on the lake, which we did, life jackets are hung up for guests to use.
