Pi La and her husband are wonderful people. We stayed one night in Panna Kalong and enjoyed every minute! The nearby restaurant, which also belongs to them, serves unbelievably delicious Thaifood by the way :) I can recommend this place 100%!

The Breakfast was cooked by Jam the owner an Meow her friend and assistant, nothing was too much trouble, what ever type of food you asked for Jam tried her best to provide it was always freshly cooked in front of you eyes, The Hotel wasn't over crowded and the pool was a lovely size and was lovely and clean as was the room, there was a supermarket at the end of the road and a lovely promenade to walk into town by the stunning Mekong River. also plenty of opportunity for excursions. Also John was there to have a friendly chat over a cool beer.

I can't even begin to describe how perfectly amazing our stay was at Baan Sakuna! We had only booked one night ahead of our boat trip to Laos the next morning. When we arrived at this beautiful garden oasis overlooking the river, we were blown away by the views, the setting, the surroundings. But that was only the beginning. The lovely owner and her staff greeted us with the news that we'd been upgraded to a suite since the hotel was full that night. Our luxury suite had its own living room, bedroom, not one but TWO bathrooms with rain showers, and a balcony with such a good view that we could see Laos! The room was incredible, but we barely had much time to spend in it, because it was Christmas Eve and we were invited to join in a buffet dinner thrown by the staff and a large group of motorcyclists staying at the hotel that night. We came down to the restaurant to be greeted with holiday decorations, the entire staff and group of travellers dressed up in festive costumes, and an ENORMOUS spread of some of the best food I've tasted in Thailand (and that's saying a lot!). Since we were the only people not with the group, they invited us to join them and it turned into probably the most memorable Christmas I've ever spent either at home or abroad. The next morning before we checked out, the staff woke up early to serve us breakfast, despite the late night before. We sipped coffee and ate home cooked food while watching the sunrise. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect moment. Baan Sakuna, thanks for a totally unique and memorable stay. We'll never forget it!

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 11. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.

The hotel is amazing and its infraestructure is gorgeous. Comfortable bed, great shower and beautiful view from balcony (river side) Unfortunatelly we spent just one night... I wish we had stayed one more night, at least to enjoy the pool.
