We like the place a lot. The house is managed by Paul and Lydia, the kindest we have met. They welcomed us every day we stayed with an aperitif in the sun set. Paul took us to the beginning of the piton de neiges. We highly recommend this stay in cilaos.

Meeting our hosts and their warm hospitality was a great privilege. They have invested much in this property and a real highlight for us us was to enjoy dinner with them, the table d'hote. We can't speak french but this turned out to be a very enjoyable evening for all of us - both using google translate. We learnt much from Reunion also. The weather was kind to us and we could hike to La Chapelle the next morning. It is in a quite part of Cilaos with of course the Piton des Neiges towering above the town

Nicely furnished rooms, home made jams from the yard with the top breakfast and home made soap. Perfect place with a view across town and the main lake. Host speaks English and French (perhaps more).
