Not every day you get to stay in a house where the owner's roots go back to Portuguese royalty :) We absolutely loved our stay in Santiago Family House - staff made us feel very welcome, communication was fast and reliable, the room and the house overall was sparkling clean, nice and comfortable.
You get to use the kitchen and all it's utilities which is specially nice when arriving late or staying for a longer period. Pool was a very welcome extra after a hot day and for a morning dip. Overall a very lovely stay, both me and my husband wished we could have stayed for more than just one night.

I had an incredible stay at Jenny and Hugo's place! They are truly exceptional hosts, incredibly warm and welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze. Upon arrival, they kindly gifted me with freshly harvested vegetables from their garden, along with a delightful bottle of Port wine—a lovely touch!
The house itself is beautifully restored and decorated, with a level of comfort that's beyond compare. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the views from both the bedroom and bed were absolutely breathtaking. They've provided an abundance of pillows, catering to every possible preference.
The pool was a highlight—spacious, perfect temperature, and the surrounding area with grass, sofas, and a table made lounging exceptionally comfortable. It's a nature lover's paradise, with stunning views and an incredibly serene atmosphere. Jenny and Hugo were incredibly attentive throughout my stay, ensuring I had everything I needed.
Three days in this peaceful place flew by—it was an absolute dream. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway!

Old fashioned style hotel, parking next to entrance. Airconditioned small room, with fridge, TV and private toilet + bathroom. Wifi was working well. Very nice and helpful receptionist, we received excellent care. We really liked the breakfast, with home made cakes.
It was very quiet, in an excellent location, and with a fabulous view. The breakfast was healthy and fresh, and included in the rate. There was free parking on the premises. The staff was very helpful.
Nice hotel with its own parking in a small town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. New looking Daikin Air Conditioner (not a cheap one). I've got 6 portions of coffee for breakfast - I didn't ask that much, but thanks, I almost drank it all!
