The villa is stunning, very comfortable. It has everything you need for short or long vacations and the Calheta district is the best region for getting some rest, far from the most crowded tourists places such as Funchal. The view from the villa is very nice, if you go down the street there is a sweet spot for sunset that I totally recommend. You will get any help and recommendations you need from the house owner. There is a shop and some restaurants nearby. Good location for many not obvious Madeira secret gems. The rooms were clean and the house is in a very good condition giving a perfect ocean view from the terrace. I will definitely recommend the place to my friends wanting tovisit the island.

The location was wonderful, with 180° wiev over the Atlantic Ocean. This modern villa is located in a very quiet area, and you have a little but well stocked supermarket with local specialties. The local staff (in our case Mr. Xavier) was very helpful, and satisfied all our requests!

Casas da Vereda is truly a one of a kind accomodation! The ensemble of three seperate houses is truly beautiful as are the pool area and the garden with plenty of herbs and vegetables. We stayed in the small Palheiro guest house which itself is absolutely gorgeous and offers stunning views from both the terrace and the deck. The interior is modern and tasteful and offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well equipped (sharp knives - not a given!) with a stove top with two plates plus a microwave oven - and if that's not enough, there's a Weber kettle grill out on the terrace. The bed is located on a small gallery, it's supercomfortable (if you like firm matresses) and the view of the ocean through the window is amazing. The premises of Casas da Vereda are located in the village of Estreito de Calheta just off the main road that runs along Madeira's south coast, so it's easily accessible but not as busy as the greater Funchal area. There's a well stocked supermarket just accross the street and a little pharmacy further down plus Estreito de Calheta offers a couple of restaurant choices (insider tipp: check out the lovely tiki bar called "Pukiki"!). Check-in and check-out were super easy and both the owners, Ana and Fabrice, and their staff, namely Lidia, were very friendly and helpful!

Angela was very kind and flexible with our lateish arrival. The house is indeed on the hillside with a bit of a tricky parking, but in Madeira it is normal and is way easier than with some of the other locations we've been to. The house is enormous, enough space for all and the view is indeed splendid. We really liked the "winter garden" part of the balcony, so we could sip our coffees from there every morning, despite of the windy weather. The West is wonderfully accessible from this house. Please, if you go be respectful of the environment there and the quiet that this neighborhood still cherishes.
