This was the third place we stayed in Madeira and was the best. A bungalow, off by itself in the upper part of Achadas da Cruz on the western side of the island. Perfectly suited to visit Ponta Moniz, Ponta do Pargo or the mid-road above Janela for the hiking. In fact easy to get to the southern towns along the coast. We went as far over ad Madalena from here. Lots of very good walking and hiking in reach of the house. It is also walkable to the cable car, though it is a good climb along the road back to the house. House was fully functional. Good bathroom, two bedrooms, small back garden area, beautiful little orchard with lemons and oranges, There is a gate separating the road from the house and only a not of traffic down the road. Clothes washer, good sized garage with a bike available, good facilities for barbecue and cooking for a good sized family or group outside. Staff very accessible by phone. Second of the MHM places we stayed and can't say enough positive about the service.

We had an amazing time here. The house is quietly located away from the main roads. The yard offers privacy from everyone around so you cam enjoy the pool and the garden in peace. The kitchen is fully equiped and there was nothing left to be desired. WiFi is good.

We stayed here a week, such a beautiful area away from the hussle and bustle of the city. Lovely and quiet, really good views and the house was just perfect for what we needed. Our host was great, check in was simple and straightforward and she made sure that we knew about things to do in the area along with good places to eat! Lots of areas to sit outside and also a BBQ to cook! We hired a car and the roads are really good, not far from anywhere. Would recommend and definitely come and stay here again! We loved this place! This property is truly a paradise. Stunning views, the most beautiful sunsets, fabulous pool, and very tastefully designed house. It was spectacular. It's a little out of the way, you will need a car, but this part of the reason why it's so special and tranquil. I would definitely recommend.

It was a perfect ending for our hike through the island. Wine, electric fireplace, and magnificent view to the sunset in Atlantic Ocean. The place also has a small pool with a view to the ocean, but it was too cold for us to try it. The housekeeper, Maria, was very nice and helpful.
