- Location! Fabulous, 1 min walk to the fort. Located in ancient Nizwa heritage quarter. Set on an unpaved road, which adds to the special ambiance of Aldar Inn. Surrounded by palm groves. Lots of commerce nearby for convenience cafes, sandwich shops, groceries.
- The property: three separate buildings, the reception hall, the garden, the palm grove, swimming pool - such a pleasant beatiful setting.
- Room comfort: value for money. Toilet amenities provided (tooth brush, sopa, shampoo, etc...) comfortable bed and pillows. View to the garden and palm grove. Nice ambiance, with a vintage chic touch.
- The lawn was so pleasant to sit on, with a majlis kind of mat where we sat on to have a meal.
- The swing!
- Front house staff were impeccable: courteous, kind, attentive and professional. I travelled w my 5 yr old daughter, they were so kind, offering treats to her, and really making my single parenting easier w their special touches. They really made my time at Aldar memorable. Thank you Mohamed, Ms Shayma and Yusuf! Cleaning staff and gardener were also very pleasant.

This is a hidden gem! Huge rooms that are beautifully decorated, newly renovated, massive bathroom, plus the free use of a washer and a huge kitchen if you wanted to prepare your own meals. The grounds are also incredible - there is a pool, a playset for children, a grill area, and a massive garden with tons of fruit trees. Situated off a wadi, it is remote and quiet, but an easy 15 min walk to the old town. The man who owns and runs the property is super nice. We loved our stay and cannot recommend it more!

Very nice accommodation, we had the whole big house and the pool to ourselves. Very nice owner. Despite a small misunderstanding regarding the rooms, he resolved everything to our satisfaction.

Ali and Mohammed were generous and kind hosts. Ali went above and beyond to accommodate us and recommend an itinerary for us while in Nizwa. The accommodation has a nice traditional feel while also being modern. The accommodation is within walking distance of several new cafes and sights. The only thing to be mindful of is that the roads in this part of Nizwa are narrow and can often only accommodate one car. We would highly recommend staying in this inn when visiting Nizwa.
