Our room was not really a room, it was a suite. A bedroom with a king size bed, and one twin bed. It had a fairly complete kitchen. It also had a living room with a TV and a table. Could eat meals there if you wanted to. The suite was very simply furnished, but had everything you would want. For a two star property to have such accommodations is excellent. This is a family run operation, and they really want you to have a good stay.

Villa da Alfonso is a huge, two floors house on a quite cliff overlooking the sea. It is part of a bigger villa and it could probably be called a "duplex". The rented house takes the whole left side of the bigger complex, whereas the owner's parents live on the right side of it. In the three days we spent there we barely saw the other family. The furniture were new and modern. There was even a laundry room with a washer and ironing necessities. Of course no drier, but this is the norm in Italy and not necessary when you travel in summer like we did. The main feature is the "closed" terrace, i.e. it has windows all around and most can be opened. The terrace is nicely decorated in yellow colors, a nice break from the pink-violet hues of the rest of the house. We particularly enjoyed the evenings relaxing on the terrace after a tiring day visiting temples or playing at the beach. The Villa is at about 20 minutes from the Scala dei Turchi and the temples so, overall, it was a pleasant place to spend a relaxing evening after a full hot day visiting tourist attractions and playing on the beach till the sunset.
