The host was amenable to our arriving late, and understanding due to communication issues on my end. The small kitchen was equipped, and tastefully decorated. There was a washing machine and a lovely terrace. For a small extra fee, you can enjoy the wonderful A/c. Would definitely recommend!

The apartment is located a short drive from Lucca in a quiet neighborhood. We had the best pizza in Lucca at a neighborhood take-away pizzeria down the street. The apartment is on the ground floor and was spacious, clean, and nice and cool, despite the heat. The owners answered our online last-minute plea for a stay that evening (AirBnB and the owner of Villa Agnese had messed up our reservation - without an apology- in Lucca and left the 7 of us stranded with nowhere to stay, at high season, on a Saturday.). These owners had their apartment ready for us within 2 hours after our inquiry, met us at the door with the keys, and explained the workings of the apartment (in Italian). We were very appreciative and enjoyed the apartment.
