We had an incredible stay at Chiesa Ignano. The host Gabriele was very helpful and arranging. We came by train, and he came to fetch us at the train station, and was very friendly during all our stay. The location is wonderful, with a breathtaking view over the mountains. The appartment was very comfortable, with whatever is necessary to cook some small plates. Room was perfectly clean, and with good privacy. We also enjoyed the pool and walks through the mountain and to the river near the property. It's better to come by car or bring over some food, as there is no grocery shop at walking distance.

This is a great accommodation option, set in the lovely mountains, on the Via Degli Dei and the German Gothic Line of World War 2. It is 5 kms from the train station at Vado, and 4kms from Monzuno. There are buses to both towns. For an inexpensive hot meal (takeaway) option, I would strongly recommend Sonia next door. You will need to book ahead and the host's will give you contact numbers. I tried all 3 accommodations at the residence - tent, bungalow, and apartment -, and they were all cozy and inexpensive. The host couple are most hospitable and helpful. Great value! Beautiful surroundings, lots of space, very clean and well decorated. AMAZING food in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend eating there. The food was delicious, and local + the short menu to have everything fresh.
