Beautiful setting, so peaceful and quiet. Amazing views and really friendly hosts. The houses are perfect for 4 (or 6) really clean and well equipped and the pool is wonderful.

Superb location if you want to do Samaria gorge, not so good for the beach. There is no store, it is better to buy supplies along the way. Several taverns close by with good food and reasonable prices. The house is very nice and has everything we needed.

Great-tasting, honest food (local cheese varieties are must to savour!), generous portions, clean, comfortable rooms along with genuine hospitality make Exaris something to come back to. Their honey, full of flavour beats anything you'd get elsewhere. Everything is within close proximity -- bus-stops, hiking routes, a nice cave (Tsakis) and of course the Samaria Gorge are nearby. Nothing quenches that hungry feeling more better than sitting down al fresco at Exaris after a hard day's tackling of Samaria and the battle with Roumeli beach sun. You will not be disappointed. Stay at Exaris for a few nights, explore the nearby attractions and your trip to Crete will be complete. Hospitality: genuine and friendly. Food: tasty, delicious and wholesome. Exaris make their own products (cheeses, honey) which are simply divine. Great coffee too :-) Rooms: clean, comfortable with nice mountain views. Location: Ideal for Samaria Gorge and nearby hiking routes + cave. The Omalos bus-stop is right opposite the hotel with views all around. There's also a lift to the Gorge in the mornings. Lovely experience at nice place. Would definitely mention and recommend to everyone.

The place is located right on the verge of samaria gorge entrance. Great location. Very clean. Each house has a litttle fireplace and some soffas and tea and coffee so we enjoyed our stay inn the cold evening before the trip

The location is fantastic for the Samaria Gorge!! The owners and staff are very welcoming and they are super helpful. Especially when it comes to preparing for crossing the Gorge, every need is covered. Early breakfast, in time for entering, mini-bus to take you to the entrance, dinner at a reasonable time to allow you to rest. Really everything you need, at a very reasonable price, always big smiles and people ready to help. Definitely the choice for Omalos!

Great location for entering The White Mountains and especially great starting point if you want to do the Samaria Gorge (if you want to get there before the crowds). Great staff and very quite place. If we come back to Crete we'll stay again :)

The location is perfect, right next to the entrance of Agia Eirini gorge. That’s why I chose it. The food was very good and big portions :)

Stunning location, gorgeous view, friendly helpful hosts, what more can you ask for? The crisp air meant we all slept like babies during the night in the August heat wave, you're in the mountains after all, while everyone else is cooking by the beaches down below. We will definitely be back!
