I've been to Crete 3 times, for a total of 11 room bookings. Apartments Gonies is what I liked the most. A splendid location, modern room with all comforts, inclusive of everything and well organized with all services. In addition, it is a family-run business with a tavern restaurant and excellent dishes to taste. The dishes derive from primary products of their production. There is everything, including a spectacular sunset in the mountains. Husband, wife and all family members are super courteous, helpful and welcoming. It is hyper-recommended!

The place was perfectly clean, well furnished and well decorated. We had everything we needed and even more (coffee, juice, wine, cake…) Kostas, the host, was extremely nice and flexible. And they have a restaurant serving excellent food for a really fair price. We found it very well located: you get to enjoy the calm and resting side of Crete without necessarily being isolated. There are a lot of activities and things to see in the area, plenty of restaurants, shops really close and beaches are not far away too. We would definitely recommend this place if you plan to visit Crete’s East side!

We enjoyed our stay here! The manager of the house, Anna, is a very nice and kind person, happy to help with any info you may need. She even left some olive oil, eggs, bananas, tea, pasta and tomato sauce for us in the kitchen. Also there was coffee, sugar and salt available for us in case we need it, as well as soap and shower gel and clean towels. When we arrived, the key of the house was stored outside in a secured box, with easy access. Self check-in was simple and smooth. We had a great stay there. The courtyard next to the house is cool and shadowed by walnut trees. Very relaxing. There you can find a wooden pallets bed and a swing chair, and also a table with chairs, where we had our breakfast every morning. We stayed for 6 days and used to cook our breakfast in the house every morning and then in the evening we ate out. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook. We used to cook omelette, greek salad and pasta. There is a fridge in the house, so it's very convenient to buy some food and enjoy it while inside. Downstairs you'll find the kitchenette and the toilet, and upstairs is the bedroom. There is a double bed and a single bed in the room. We used the double bed (we are a couple) and had a very good sleep. The mattress is very comfortable, more on the firm side (our favourite kind of mattress). There is a window above the bed, on the side, and in the summer you can sleep with the window open, the temperature is perfect, not too warm, not too cold. In the bedroom you'll also find a clothes rack. We loved the location, the house is located in a mountain village and the neighbors are very nice! Even if small and a bit remote, the village is unexpectedly full of life in the summer months (we visited in July/ August). There you can find the oldest tree in Europe, about 2500 years old! It was a surprise for us to find out this, while staying there. We want to come back! Thank you, Anna!

This place is just FANTASTIC. Everything there was amazing. The room, the views, the restaurant, the staff and the pool... The food was amazing. We loved everything there. We will come back for sure for our next trip to Europe ! :)
